R&B by Lush : from frizzy to curly
I am really sorry for this long period of silence. I spent the last 15 days searching for a full-time job and a flat. But now that I found a proper job and moved out of the kingdom of Cockroaches, I can speak to you about other things… like beauty fashion and other dull activities I am fond of.
Ok, so here’s the thing. The day I had my 3 hours job trial at Lush, one of the sales manager pointed out that I had dry hair. And instead of yealing at her shouting “mind your own fucking business lady”, I asked her what should I do about this hair made of hay of mine.
Of course she advised me to use R&B leave-in conditioner from Lush, telling me literally that it was the next best beauty invention ever for black people (after the creation of shea and coconut shampoo). Yeah, right… Anyway. Once that horrible job trial day was over Lush’s sales manager didn’t even bother to call me (even to say, Sally you stink), but I decided to buy the R&B mosturizer-thing anyway… I was curious. I decided to come back to Lush (keeping a low profile) purchase the damn thing and try it on. The whole Lush staff pretended not to recognize me. They were embarrassed, I was not… and afterwards, I had to say that this R&B product rocks. It is not available in France (not yet), and it’s great.
BEFORE
AFTER
My hair is frizzy, and the R&B mosturizer helped define my curls (I didn’t even know my curls existed). My hair was so dry, it was all breakage. I still have to use a lot of this R&B product to keep them hydrated ! I assumed I will have to get rich if I want to keep using this.
Conclusion : If you want your frizzy natural afro hair to look curly, shiny, without the hair gel dirty aspect, this is the product for you. If you don’t give a damn about having curly hair, well… I guess you read my article because you really wanted to.
R&B leave-in conditioner has rich conditioners and softening ingredients such as oat milk, olive oil, coconut, avocado butter, jojoba oil and candelilla - 9,95£ at Lush

I’ll keep that in mind next time i’ll be in London. My naturalhair really need a good conditioner…
(ohoh so you found another place and a new job, great!)
LoooooL , now i realize job trials could be a crual thing !!!!!!
Hello Sally!
Was already a regular reader of your French blog and i keep enjoying reading you adventures from the other side of the Channel…
I’m not black, my hair’s not frizzy but i admire the job that conditioner did on you hair!!! I love all the bath stuff from Lush, and tried the solid shampoo: awesome products! I just feel disgusted about your job trial though: Lush might be eco-friendly but not human-friendly…
Anyway, i wish you luck with your new job: hope it gets you where you want!
You have an Hello Kitty phone ! I love you !
…
Mtn je vais finir cette p****n de prob de mémoire !
Hello?
U seems to have several experiences in London, that’s great. It’s sure difficult to get a job especially with fucking economic crisis.
It’s amazing how some cosmetics make u look different. I really like the curls this cosmetic gave to you, I suffer not to have the same.
Are you sure I can’t get one R&B mosturizer in France?
Please don’t say no, even if you told on your post that it was only available in England.
As always, France doesn’t lift a finger to help black people to feel good with their own hair.
I say that ‘cos I’ve my mama who relaxed her hair, now she just look like a black mare with big tits.
No matter what, I’ll get this R&B leave-in conditioner from Lush.
keep fighting to get a job.
